Information for parents
A conference is big, noisy and crowded! Many times it’s already for us adults tiring… it’s not possible to relax and fully join into every part of the LC program. It’s a challenge to organize yourself between accommodation and conference. And probably it feels like we as parents can only experience a small part of the whole thing.
But there is also the other side:
We have the privilege that God entrusted kids to us. From the beginning we can support them in getting to know and love our amazing God. They’re our first disciples / mentees. Children should be a part of the LC as they are a part of our churches. Our children should experience that they’re very welcome just as adults are as well.
We hope that we as the body of Christ get more aware of this and it get’s even more normal to support and integrate families: In the program, in letting them go first during meals, in praying for each other and in offering practical help. If we as leaders don’t find ways how to make this normal among us – who then?
We’re glad about all parents who bring their children to the LC.
If you have questions about the before or if you need hints and counsel, please write to firstname.lastname@example.org
We have child care (“Kinderland”) for all children going to pre-school or to school. The program will be parallel to the main program on the stage. Children can play together and experience God. They can meet old and new friends whose parents are also living house churches. Many house churches don’t have many children (yet) so it’s a great thing to experience a children’s program together with many children.
During the conference we’ll have a lot of program parts that are decentral, for example in the afternoons. We don’t have child care during these times because our wish is that our children can make new experiences together with us and we can practically live discipleship. Try something now together with your kids and let them learn from you and others!
For times and activities that don’t fit for children please organize with other families and take turns caring about your children. For example look at the program together with your house church / network and discuss beforehand how you can support and set free each other.
For all age groups we have places were you can be together with your kids and can meet up with other adults (baby room on the gallery, Königskinder room with toys, indoor playground).
It’s a good idea to look for accommodation early. Find another family and book rooms in the same hostel or book a vacation apartment together. That way you can have breakfast together and depending on the age of the kids you can be there during dinner. As parents you can help each other in the evenings and take turns in watching the kids or finally have time with each other.
We believe that God is still relevant today.
We believe in an unshakable generation of young people who are ready to feel God’s heartbeat in their lives and share it.
We believe that we can achieve more together than alone.
The LC is one of the chances to get to know PulseCulture.
We’ll spend time together als teenagers and join in the program.
