And now, let’s make some
Into the future… Where do we want to be?
Who should know us? And what for?
What should have changed through us?
In our houses, cities, schools…
This was the idea for the LC before the word wave got a completely different meaning this year.
First wave, second wave and the efforts, fears and new beginnings in between.
In any case not the right time for “In 20 years we will…”.
Instead, exactly the right time to try out something new again.
And still make waves!
If not like “In 20 years…” then at least “… all over the world”.
That’s why this year we´ll have
One LC – 200 Locations
The LC will take place where you are.
In Germany, in Heilbronn, in Plauen, in Duisburg, in Frankfurt Oder or Main, in …
In Europe, in Mikrewo (Bulgaria), in London, in Stockholm, in Marseille, in Warsaw, in …
Worldwide, in Sydney, in Katmandu (Nepal), in Karamoja (Uganda), in Neuquén (Argentina), in New Haven (USA), in …
200 is just a number. There might even be more.
The LC will come to you and the people you would like to take the next step with. Who are not afraid of the word “leadership”. Who do not mind taking on a little more responsibility. Even if they don’t know exactly what it looks like yet.
We´ll give you the input, the material, the ideas.
You´ll meet each other. Celebrate together. Pray. Decide. Listen to God. And also to each other. Pick up your own guitar or join an online session. You´ll be local, personal, honest, courageous, with Jesus in your midst.
6. November 08:30-10pm
WAVES 1: Splash, swallow, whaaat?
We had imagined this LC very differently.
All of us in Leipzig, journey from 20 minutes by foot to 3 hours by plane and a huge buffet for arrival.
In small seminar rooms!
With stuffy air!
Oh, how beautiful that was…
And then the first wave.
And its effects.
On me, you, us.
On our possibilities to have fellowship.
Got caught by the last wave?
Shake it off once, dry it off, get the water out of your ears
And then, listen to each other:
What did the wave wash away?
What has remained?
What did I hold on to?
What do I finally want to let go?
Let’s get started.
With a hello to the whole world.
With an honest exchange with the local people.
With testimonies from everywhere, how this year has turned our lives, our churches and our expectations of God upside down.
With a look at the Book of Acts: adverse circumstances, constant uncertainties and a mission that is always the same.
And ideas about how we plan, even though we know that there is no planning security at all.
7. November 10-12am
WAVES 2: Who is really making the wind?
Does everything, like really everything right with them!
They go all over the world.
Everything will be all right. So why does he appear to Paul?
Completely supernatural and without a clearly identifiable discipleship line?
Because Peter still needed visions of pure and unclean animals?
With Cornelius and all.
And what exactly was Ananias´role?
And why did Paul choose Silas of all people?
And Timothy? Why 1 Corinthians 1:12-13 and 1 Corinthians 4:14-17 are two sides of the same coin.
How your discipleship even strengthens God’s initiative.
And why Jesus wants us to pray for harvesters.
7. November 8-10pm
WAVES 3: Which wave do you want to ride?
In theory everything is clear.
He has all the power.
And we teach them to keep all that He has commanded us.
A friendly long version:
We pray first, of course.
He tells us where to go.
Sometimes without a belt and with an empty wallet.
Sometimes with the very concrete responsibility for the least of his brothers.
Of course we set a good example.
Obedient and full of joy.
So everything should turn out well after all!
So why did Paul have to go to prison?
Or be stoned to death?
Why should I read 2 Timothy regularly?
Why doesn’t it have to say anything about my faith if everything goes wrong first?
And still, it has dramatic effects on my character?
The people in my life?
On what can happen through me?
Can my God still entrust me with crazy things afterwards?
Even more crazy?
Brand new ones?
8. November all day long
WAVES 4: Sunbathing and building sandcastles, the sea is calm.
After all, today is Sunday!
You spend the day with your friends.
You don’t know when the next opportunity for brunch will come…
Or you’re going to visit Grandma Erna.
Or the local playground.
With ideas for the next 3 weeks and your diary in your pocket
Whatever you feel like doing on Sunday. We do not have any program on this day on purpose.
Neither do we on Saturday afternoon.
So that you and your friends have time for everything you want to experience on site.
You already have ideas with whom you want to spend such a weekend? Invite the people of your choice or book tickets! You are very much in the mood for such a weekend, but don’t know with whom yet? Sign up and we will try to connect you.
Nice idea, but you’re pretty sure to sit alone in front of your laptop?
Don’t worry – we will also set up some online living rooms for those who feel like you.
Because only small groups can meet local, after the weekend there´ll be
One LC – Two weeks full of opportunities
Leadership Conference means that you´ll have the opportunity to share with others and make new friends. We provide the platform, quite a few people are currently considering what they can offer.
A workshop on prophetic planning for the year in your leadership team?
Or the first steps to start mentoring?
A prayer meeting for all who dream of churches in Central America?
Advice on your personal questions about families in leadership?
Reading the Book of Acts together during lunch break?
The time frame is fixed: from November 9th to 21st, after the weekend of fellowship, there will be online offers for which you can register. Register for the LC and you will be informed when the registration for each offer will be activated.
Learning from the Book of Acts – one chapter a day
One part of the Leadership Conference is also that we want to read one chapter of the Book of Acts, starting November 9 to learn from the example of the first followers of Jesus.
How did they deal with the challenges they faced?
What is inspiring me and what is God challenging me to do?
Download the worksheet with these and some more questions. Print a copy for every four chapters and use them every day to make notes and have your live make more of those waves that the first disciples made!
